Edward Elmhurst Health's EVH Evanston Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician for overnight hours (11:00 pm–7:30 am). 20 hours per week with rotating weekends.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care, assist with vital signs, 12-Lead EKG, Foley catheter removal, specimen collection, bathing, ambulation, turning, hourly rounding, glucose checks and discharge preparation, and support the care plan.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred.
• One nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical care preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Under RN supervision, deliver patient care and assist with daily tasks.
• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, bladder ultrasound, catheter care, and specimen collection.
• Support discharge planning and patient preparation for room changes.
• Participate in safety initiatives and promote high quality patient experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, mobilization, turning, and hourly rounding per care plan.
