Edward-Elmhurst Health’s EVH Evanston Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support neurology and urology units during night shifts. This part-time role (24 hours/week) reports to a Registered Nurse and focuses on foundational patient care tasks.

You will assist with vital signs, 12-lead EKGs, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, hygiene, mobility, and discharge preparation while contributing to safety and a high-quality patient experience.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited CNA training course or nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical care.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred or prior nursing assistant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with delivering patient care and essential tasks.
• Take vital signs, perform 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal.
• Assist with bathing, turning, ambulating, feeding, and preparing patients for discharge.
• Support implementation of patient care plans and safety initiatives.
