Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team and potentially serve as a Health Unit Coordinator. A Montana CNA license and BLS are required, with strong communication and computer literacy.

Essential duties include direct patient care, charting, telemetry support, medication transport to RN, and coordination with the care team. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 36-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and other patient needs.
• Reports and records patient care findings and data in a timely manner; respond to changes in patient condition.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required by unit.
• Transport medications to RN on clinical unit as needed.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient care.
• May perform health unit coordinator tasks when assigned.
• Implement plan of care as delegated.
• Perform duties within Scope of Practice and safety policies.
