Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient condition, and contribute to a safe, organized care environment.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, supporting meals and mobility, collecting samples, and communicating patient information to the care team.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record vital signs and patient data, reporting to RN/LPN.
• Support meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and elimination needs.
• Assist with patient positioning and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose via finger sticks.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
