Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Part Time night shift Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (2A). You will perform basic nursing care under RN supervision in a 26-bed unit handling acute medical, surgical, and cardiac cases.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, keeping rooms clean, and communicating changes to the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, glucose checks, and intake/output.
• Assists patients with personal care and daily living activities (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff and maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.

Education
