Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, age-specific care under RN supervision on the night shift (Wed/Thu/Fri, 7p–7:30a). You will deliver safe, compassionate care, monitor patient status, and report changes to the healthcare team, while maintaining a clean, stocked unit.

Qualifications include a High School degree or equivalent; CNA licensure/certification and BLS/HCP certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant licensure/certification preferred.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent licensure preferred.
• Healthcare environment experience is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and direct care to patients in their assigned unit.
• Monitor patients' conditions and provide updates to the health care team.
• Maintain supplies and ensure a safe, clean, stocked environment.
• Attend mandatory in-services and trainings and adhere to policy.

Education
