Job summary

Qualifications

• No degree required; must complete basic patient care training and obtain BLS/
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies required within six months of hire.
• Willingness to work in a high-stress healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Monitor vital signs, perform EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose measures.
• Record intake and output and assist with personal care tasks and daily living activities.
• Transport patients as needed and keep patient areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff; respond to changing patient conditions.
