Job summary

Qualifications

• No degree or formal education required.
• BLS American Heart Association certification or grace period acceptable.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with keeping patient rooms and areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Perform basic patient care activities delegated by an RN, including vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, and intake/output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming and eating.
• Monitor patient status and report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
