Job summary

Pellahealth is seeking a Med/Surg Patient Care Tech for full-time night shift with a weekend package. Provides patient care activities under the direction of RN or LPN, assists with daily living activities, personal care and maintains a safe, clean environment for patients/residents.

Ideal candidates have CNA training or registry status, a current BLS certification, good English communication and a team-oriented approach. On-site role with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• CNA program completion or CNA competency testing on Iowa Direct Care Worker registry.
• AHA Heart Code BLS certification required with 3-month post-hire certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide for personal care and comfort, support safety and cleanliness for patients/residents.
• Work effectively as part of a healthcare team and maintain basic computer skills.
