Job summary

The position emphasizes ADL support, vital signs, phlebotomy/EKG potential, and ongoing patient education, with a focus on safety and quality outcomes within a full-time night shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, mobility and transport.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning and Foley catheter care as directed by RN/LPN.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes to RN/LPN.
• Reinforces patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement activities.
