Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant to support patients during the night shift at Lourdes Health System location on Haddon Ave. Under the direction of RN/LPN, you will assist with daily living activities, maintain patient safety, and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.

The role requires strong communication, basic patient care skills, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic patient care skills and strong communication.
• Knowledge of standard precautions and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and plan of care.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and catheter care.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Reinforce education for patient and family.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and contribute to performance improvement.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
