Job summary

Endeavor Health's Patient Care Tech position in the Emergency Department at Highland Park Hospital is a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. The role focuses on supporting patient care and ensuring patient safety while coordinating with the healthcare team.

Candidates should be eligible to work in the US, have CNA training preferred, and be able to read patient charts. BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days; strong teamwork and basic computer

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training course completion preferred.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; if not current, obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and prioritization.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Flow of work and duties require sustained attention with manual dexterity.
• Read and record patient charts with adequate visual clarity.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare team, including masked coworkers.
• Potential exposure to blood, body fluids and hazardous materials with health risks.
• Work under pressure to meet patient care needs.
• Assist with patient movement and lifting up to 50 pounds when needed, using proper equipment if non-emergency.
