Job summary

Baylor Medical Center, Grapevine, TX, is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator to perform clerical and patient care tasks under licensed nursing supervision. The role includes data collection, vital signs, and assisting patients with daily activities, while supporting unit operations.

This is a full-time night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends. Excellent teamwork and confidentiality are essential in a busy oncology/ICU-adjacent unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: less than 1 year preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data, vital signs, and tests as directed.
• Assist patients with daily activities and comfort needs.
• Maintain unit records, inventories, and communication with nursing staff.
• Greet visitors, answer phones, and coordinate with team on patient care.
