Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL, is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist nursing staff on a 24-bed unit serving adult general medical and medical oncology patients. You will perform basic patient care tasks under an RN supervision and support activities of daily living.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with clinicals, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Monitors vital signs, records data and reports changes to RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Communicates effectively with the care team to ensure patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN.
• Assists patients with daily living tasks (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Prioritizes unit work and adapts to changing needs.
