UTMB Health seeks a Patient Care Technician I for the CT Surgery/Vascular Surgery unit during nights. You will provide basic technical assistance and supportive patient care, including vital signs, hygiene, feeding, mobility, and safety, in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications include completion of a Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant program or two years of direct patient care experience, plus BLS certification. This role supports patient care under nurse supervision.

Qualificações

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Completion of a recognized Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or related program or equivalent experience.
• Two years of direct patient care experience preferred or certification at hire.

Responsabilidades

• Collect, report, and document vital signs, intake/output and related data.
• Obtain blood samples by venipuncture and perform POCT when required.
• Assist with patient activities, hygiene, feeding and mobility per care plan.
• Maintain patient privacy, safety and infection control throughout care.
• Support diverse tasks across CT Surgery/Vascular Surgery units on night shifts.
