Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL is looking for a patient care technician who will assist licensed nurses by performing basic patient care and related technical tasks. Under RN supervision, you’ll monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will perform EKG testing, phlebotomy, and glucose checks, document intake and output, report changes to nursing staff, and help transport patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and decisive judgment with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 3 months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and perform basic patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Perform EKG testing and phlebotomy.
• Take blood glucose measurements and record intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding).
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, clean and orderly; transport patients as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
