Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking a patient care assistant to provide basic care under the supervision of an RN. The role involves monitoring vital signs, performing EKG testing and phlebotomy, and recording intake and output.

You will help keep rooms clean and stocked and assist with activities of daily living and patient transport. The position requires staff to gain EKG and phlebotomy competencies within six months of hire and maintain BLS certifications.

Formación

• No degree required; on-the-job training provided.
• BLS American Heart E-Card or equivalent required within six months of hire.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies expected within six months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic patient care activities under RN supervision, including vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, glucose testing, intake/outtake recording.
• Maintains clean, stocked patient rooms and orderly areas.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient transport as needed.
• Reports abnormal findings promptly to nursing staff.
