Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support basic patient care under RN supervision. You will monitor vitals, perform EKG testing, phlebotomy, and glucose checks while assisting with activities of daily living and transport as needed.

Qualifications

• No Degree or any other education earned is required.
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) from American Heart Association is preferred/required by some facilities.
• BLS Certification Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE) may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities under RN supervision, including monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose measurements and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating) and with transporting as needed.
• Monitors patient status and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean and stocked patient rooms and areas; supports transportation of patients.
• Adheres to safety and infection control procedures.
