Job summary

Mass General Brigham, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support the care team on a 36-hour night schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays. Under an RN, you will assist with clinical tasks, monitor patients, and help with daily activities while ensuring room readiness.

The role requires basic life support, 1–2 years of healthcare experience, and strong communication skills. Onsite work at 2000 Washington Street in Newton, MA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including vital signs, EKGs, bathing and feeding patients.
• Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments as required.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned according to patient needs.
• Performs specimen collection and documents all data.
• Document patient information such as height, weight, intake and output, and glucose results.
• Assist patients with food tray setup and eating.
• Communicate with nursing staff about patient care and conditions.
