Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks an experienced nursing assistant to join the clinical support team. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist in delivering safe, compassionate patient care and support daily operations in an inpatient setting.

This evening shift role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate documentation, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. Minimum 1-2 years healthcare experience with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and LNA credentials are preferred.
• Ability to multitask and manage stress in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and document vital signs and procedures as assigned.
• Assist RNs and physicians with exams, treatments, and patient care needs.
• Maintain stocked, clean patient rooms and ensure supplies meet patient volumes.
• Document patient information, including intake, output, and glucose results.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff about patient conditions and care plans.
• Receive and direct Medical Staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
