Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Patient Care Assistant on the Surgical Oncology Unit to support daily patient care on a fast-paced 24-bed unit.

You will assist with activities of daily living, collect vital signs, document in the medical record, and help with transportation and supplies under supervision. This is a full-time night position with weekend rotations and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collect vital signs and other delegated data; document in medical records.
• Communicate patient status changes to licensed professionals and care team.
• Perform unit secretary tasks and manage basic clerical duties.
• Maintain supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Transport patients and assist with pre/post-operative care as applicable.
• Ensure complete and accurate charting and records handling.
