Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Surgical Oncology Unit. This full-time night-shift role (6pm–6:30am) includes weekend rotations, with a $1/hour weekend differential and an 18% night differential when applicable.

The role supports routine patient care, data collection, and unit operations on a 24-bed abdominal transplant/surgical oncology unit. CNA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification.
• CNA in state of practice required for new hires/ transfers.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Basic keyboarding and computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and support the patient plan of care.
• Collect vital signs and basic data; document in medical records.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Assist with specimen collection and basic procedures under supervision.
• Maintain supplies and assist with unit operations and communication.
