Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment and assisting with routine tasks during night shifts. Preferred certifications include Phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS; previous acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire (preferred).
• Current EKG certification upon hire (preferred).
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.

Education

CNA certification

BLS (AHA)

High School Diploma or equivalent

Six months acute care experience
