Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required qualifications include CNA certification preferred; phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred; current BLS within 30 days; knowledge of medical terminology; and at least six months in acute care. Night shift.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and support the care team.
