Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• If in a Critical Care area, ACLS certification must be presented upon hire or within first year.
• External applicants: two years of recent nursing experience.
• Internal applicants: may be considered with Chief Nursing Officer approval.
• Military RN experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and study.
