Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio is recruiting a New Grad RN Resident for our Stepdown unit. This one-year Nurse Residency program offers hands-on training, online modules, simulation labs, and coaching to transition new graduates into professional practice.

You will work nights 7:00 PM–7:30 AM on the Stepdown unit, a bridge between ICU and general med/surg, delivering patient-centered care and education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
• New graduate RN OR <1 year RN experience OR RN moving from non-inpatient to acute inpatient setting with <1 year of current acute RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and revise priorities for patient care (acuity, preferences, resources).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and take corrective action.
• Seek supervision and assistance when unable to perform safely.
• Document in patients' medical records.
