Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for a 25-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown unit on the Main Campus in Cleveland. This role supports high-acuity cardiac patients under RN supervision in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification, with preference for STNA, and offers opportunities to grow skills in cardiac care on days, with weekend/holiday rotation as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; if not held, must obtain during new hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS certification required.
• Military experience as HM, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, activities of daily living, transfers and monitoring.
• Report abnormal findings to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
