Albany Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Neuro Progressive Care unit (D5E) on the night shift. You will collect patient data, provide personal care, and assist with activities that support discharge planning.

Training covers blood draws and ECG as needed, with a focus on safe, compassionate patient care. The role emphasizes teamwork with RN staff and coordination with supply chains for equipment and supplies; a calm, capable presence is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year experience in health care or completion of CNA course preferred.
• Experience as paramedic or emergency technician preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Honest, punctual and adherent to high ethical standards.
• Ability to communicate cooperatively with patients, family, staff.

Responsabilités

• Collects patient data including vital signs and intake/output.
• Reports abnormal findings to RN and care team.
• Participates in care planning and nursing report process.
• Provides personal care and assistance with meals, grooming and mobility.
• Documents care in patient records.
