Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for 4 East, full-time nights in Newark, OH. The role supports RN-led patient care in a non-profit community hospital setting with a history dating back to 1898.

As part of LMHS, you will engage in direct patient care activities, monitoring, specimen collection and basic recordkeeping, contributing to high standards of patient safety and compassionate care within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Read, write and follow instructions.
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and ECG testing preferred.
• STNA/NA/MA licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift, transfer and transport patients to beds and departments.
• Collect, perform and document urine and glucometer tests and QA.
• Collect, label and enter specimens.
• Monitor high-risk patients one-to-one as requested.
• Obtain vitals and weights.
• Enter work orders in the computer.
• Stock supplies at bedside.
