Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems in Newark, OH seeks a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 4 West Day shift, part-time. Under RN supervision, you perform patient care activities, assist with lifts and transfers, and support clinical tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include collecting urine and glucose tests, labeling and entering specimens, one-to-one monitoring of high-risk patients, recording vitals and weights, and managing computer work orders while stocking bedside

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required/maintained.
• STNA, NA or MA licensure preferred.
• Electronic medical record documentation skills advised.

Responsibilities

• Lift, transfer, and transport patients safely to beds and departments.
• Collect, perform, and document urine and glucometer tests and related quality controls.
• Collect, label, and enter specimens.
• Monitor high-risk patients one-to-one as requested by RN or physician.
• Obtain vitals and weights.
• Enter work orders in the computer.
• Stock supplies at bedside.
