Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Senior Patient Access Representative to support patient registration across ED and other areas. The role combines frontline registration with leadership duties, QA audits, and staff mentoring.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage, reporting, and serving as a preceptor for department orientation. Growth opportunities exist within Patient Access, including roles like Team Coordinator.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Certification/Licensure: CHAA, CRCR, or CRCS certification required within six months of hire.
• 2 years of Customer Service and/or Data Entry.
• 2 years of previous experience in a healthcare environment.

Responsabilités

• Register patients for the Emergency Department and other registration areas.
• Serve as registration system super-user and on-call rotation leader.
• Mentor and train staff; perform QA audits and prepare/review reports.
• Assist Team Coordinator and department leadership; participate in meetings/workgroups.
