Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a customer service representative for the Allina Health account in Saint Paul, MN. This role features a night-shift schedule (8-hour shifts) 48 hours bi-weekly, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

External candidates receive a $750 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, handle registrations, explain costs, collect payments, and resolve issues in the EMR while delivering excellent customer

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work standard daytime hours, Monday-Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule.
• Ability to work an average of 24 hours per week starting at either 8:30pm or 10:30pm per business need.
• Ability to work every other weekend & holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients in person, directing them to appointments and procedures.
• Collects and verifies demographic, insurance, and benefits information.
• Completes required paperwork including financial assistance and information forms.
• Explains cost information, collects co-pays and deductibles, and counsels on financial assistance programs.
• Addresses claim issues or registration errors and documents resolutions in the EMR.
• Registers accounts and manages work queues with available tools.
• Provides customer service for inbound and outbound calls and resolves inquiries.
• Assists in scheduling add-on appointments as needed.
• May mentor staff and gather medical record information as needed.
• Supports dynamic healthcare environment with flexibility and patient care focus.
