Sentara Elizabeth City, NC seeks a Part Time-3rd Shift Patient Access Representative to handle patient registration, verify identities, review schedules, and collect co-pays in a friendly, accurate manner. The role supports smoother patient flow and accurate data entry in the EHR.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Customer Service and/or Data Entry
• Proficiency in Keyboarding
• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent

Responsabilités

• Register patients by verifying identity and selecting the correct patient record.
• Review schedules and physician orders to register for the appropriate service.
• Scan documents (insurance cards, IDs, Living Wills, POAs) and enter demographics into EHR.
• Explain and collect co-pays, deposits, and balances; perform transactions securely.
• Greet patients and families; provide first impression of Sentara; assist with arrivals and questions.
• May perform scheduling, pre-admission, and discharge duties; provide updates to families.
