Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Nights shift. You will verify patient information, obtain consents, verify insurance, and process pre-certifications and payments at the point of arrival.

You will greet visitors, initiate registration, explain hospital policies, and support a team focused on compassionate, efficient patient access. Previous hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Validate completeness and accuracy of patient account information.
• Obtain required consents and verify insurance.
• Process pre-certifications, authorizations and request/collect payments.
• Explain Beaufort Memorial Hospital policies to patients.
• Greet patients and initiate registration upon arrival.

Responsibilities

• Respond expeditiously to patient inquiries.
• Direct visitors to appropriate individual or area for assistance.
