Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC seeks a Patient Access Representative for third shift (8:30pm-7:00am). This role focuses on scheduling, pre-certification, and insurance verification to ensure accurate patient intake.

You will interact with patients and staff, enter data into EPIC, determine estimated financial responsibility, and support the overall admissions process. Experience in healthcare and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Ability to build productive internal and external relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle challenging customers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and handle patient registrations.
• Perform pre-certification and benefit verification.
• Explain hospital policies and financial responsibilities.
• Enter demographics and financial data accurately in EPIC.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff for proper patient entry.
• Obtain necessary signatures and ensure insurance authorization.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
