Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a Patient Access Representative for CHA Cambridge Hospital. The part-time night shift (16 hours/week) will focus on accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and pre/post-visit data collection.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), two years of patient access and customer service experience, and familiarity with Epic systems. CHA emphasizes quality, compassion, and teamwork in a diverse community setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Two years of patient access experience in healthcare.
• Two years of customer service experience required.
• Medical terminology knowledge; familiarity with third party plans.
• Google Workspace and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of Epic Grand Central, Prelude and EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and timely for inpatient, outpatient and emergency services.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with pre- and post-visit collection requirements.
• Communicate changes to registration staff and train new employees as needed.
• Ensure high quality service with accuracy of information and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical, financial, and support teams to maintain smooth admissions.
