Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek is seeking a Patient Representative to support patient access across our hospital campuses. You will greet patients, register them, collect demographic and insurance information, verify coverage, schedule appointments, and assist with payments and price estimates.

Experience in customer service is required; HIPAA knowledge and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding are preferred. Strong typing (45 WPM) and basic Windows skills help you manage multiple tasks under deadlines while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Weekend standby rotation for ED team: Friday 7pm to Monday 7am, 2–6 times a year.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding strongly preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM, basic ten key, and Windows-based computer skills.
• HIPAA knowledge, payer regulations, and patient rights knowledge.
• Understanding of revenue cycle and impact of accurate registration.
• Cancer Center: Associate degree or 2 years related healthcare experience; CHAA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verify insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Provide and collect required patient forms and balance/payments.
• Enter physician orders and scan/index forms.
• Schedule and communicate appointments across facilities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established workflows.
