Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Louisville, KY is seeking an Inventory Specialist to ensure the availability of maintenance parts and to manage stock in a cost-effective, compliant manner. You will maintain records in a computerized system and ensure demands are met efficiently.

This role involves issuing parts to mechanics, receiving and verification of shipments, stocking/disbursing parts, and performing cycle counts and audits to support informed management decisions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years office experience preferred.
• Heavy-duty truck parts experience preferred.
• Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle parts, maintenance, and repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue replacement parts to mechanics.
• Receive and unpack parts, verify shipment accuracy (part numbers, quantities, pricing).
• Receive, tag, stock, and disburse parts to technicians or locations.
• Prepare purchase orders for parts and equipment.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory reports.
• Process warranty claims and return parts/cores per policy.
• Present inventory information to management for restocking decisions.
