Job summary

Rumpke is seeking an Inventory Specialist to ensure availability of parts for the maintenance department and maintain accurate records in a cost-effective manner. Responsibilities include issuing parts to mechanics, receiving shipments, stocking, processing purchase orders, and performing weekly cycle counts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of office experience, knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, and DOT Med Card eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years office experience preferred.
• Heavy-duty truck parts knowledge preferred.
• Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Issue replacement parts to mechanics.
• Receive, unpack, verify shipments and pricing.
• Stock and disburse parts to technicians.
• Create purchase orders for parts and equipment.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory reports.
• Process warranty claims and track credits.
• Complete inventory data and present to management for decisions.
• Drive company vehicle for deliveries to outlying locations.
