Job summary

Rumpke is a family-owned waste and recycling leader focused on safety, service, the environment, and people development. We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to ensure availability of parts for maintenance, maintain accurate records, and support efficient operations across departments.

Responsibilities include issuing parts to mechanics, receiving shipments, stocking, and processing orders and inventories. A DOT card is preferred, with potential travel and flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience handling inventory in maintenance/parts environments.
• Strong computer skills and data-entry accuracy.
• Familiar with parts manuals and manufacturer build sheets.

Responsibilities

• Issue replacement parts to mechanics.
• Receive, unpack and verify parts shipments.
• Stock and distribute parts to technicians or remote locations.
• Prepare purchase orders for parts and equipment.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory reports.
• Process warranty claims and credits.
• Maintain inventory records and report to management.
