Job summary

Metropolis Technologies in Redwood City is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor streets, lots and campuses, enforcing parking policies while providing helpful customer service. Hours are 11:00pm–7:30am, with duties including ticketing, impound/relocation actions, and site maintenance assistance.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and offers benefits with the SP+ team under the Metropolis umbrella.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.
• Availability to work special shifts; weekends may be required.
• License requirement: valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, other public areas and/or an entire campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized handheld device or manual tickets.
• Impose impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Assist maintenance staff with duties related to parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance.
• Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking meters and related systems.
• Assist event staff with activities related to parking for events.
• Assist office staff with activities related to permit sales during peak seasons.
