Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Paramedic to provide high-level pre-hospital care in the community and surrounding area. The role involves advanced patient assessment, treatment per protocols, and meticulous documentation.

You will operate MICU vehicles under medical command and participate in ongoing education and training for staff and students. The position requires a recognized Paramedic program graduate and current CPR/AHA certifications; BLS experience is also required.

Qualifications

• Previous BLS experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Paramedic Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment and provides appropriate pre-hospital care per protocols and medical command.
• Documents patient assessment, treatment, response, and transfer of care; responds to QA requests.
• Operates MICU vehicles safely and adheres to driving policies; ensures vehicle is fueled and operable.
• Performs start-of-shift vehicle/equipment checks; keeps ready room stocked and prepared for service.
• Completes supply inventory as requested by management.
• Maintains all Virtua-owned equipment and property in safe condition.
• Participates in education/training of students and new staff; monitors student performance.
