Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a Paramedic for full-time night shifts (6pm–6am) to provide out-of-hospital care at BLS and ALS levels in the Reading area.

The role requires delivering care across all ages, maintaining up-to-date certifications, and collaborating with EMS teams and hospital staff. Training and competencies must be kept current; physicians' medical command is expected within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for the role.
• Post‑High School Diploma Program – or combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of the Diploma Program.

Responsibilities

• Paramedic, under the supervision of the EMS Supervisor, Manager and Director, is responsible for the out-of-hospital care of patients, providing care at Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support levels.
• Deliver care based on patient needs appropriate for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate a patient‑centered approach to total care.
• Show cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Assist with planning, supervising, and evaluating pre‑hospital care; coordinate emergency medical care and transportation; follow protocols and medical command orders.

Education

Post-High School Diploma Program

Paramedic or PHRN Certification (PA EMS Vehicle Operator)

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

PALS Certification

NIMS 700/800/100/200 training

Current Driver's License

Hazard Awareness training

Obtain unrestricted Medical Command authorization
