Job summary

Lynx EMS is seeking a Night Shift Paramedic to serve as the clinical leader of the overnight unit in Ohio. You will respond to calls, provide advanced life support, and manage interfacility transfers with independent decision-making in lower-resource settings.

The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, nighttime resilience, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care while ensuring safety and compliance with state protocols.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Paramedic certification or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Strong clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills.
• Ability to remain alert, decisive, and composed during overnight shifts.
• Experience managing high-acuity patients independently.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls during overnight operations.
• Provide ALS care per Ohio state protocols and medical direction.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications and perform advanced airway management.
• Lead and mentor EMT partners to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Operate the ambulance safely in nighttime and low-visibility conditions.
• Maintain situational awareness and scene safety.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly.
