Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department at Mount Carmel Grove City. The role involves night shifts (7pm–7:30am) on a three-shift week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include airway management, IV/IO access, medication administration, EKGs, and phlebotomy, working under RN delegation and physician orders. Ohio EMS certification, ACLS, and BLS are required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Paramedic Certification in the State of Ohio (required).
• ACLS required; BLS Healthcare Provider required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates respiratory interventions per physician order or protocol.
• Initiates IV/IO access as requested by physician; includes ultrasound guidance.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates treatment (CPR/defibrillation).
• Transports and monitors telemetry and non-telemetry patients.
• Performs patient care activities as delegated by the RN in a timely manner.
• Performs phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing as assigned.
• Administers medications according to policies and guidelines.
• Performs EKGs and wound care; maintains sterile technique.
