Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager of the Palliative Care Program to lead the inpatient Palliative Care Program and collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care within Mercy’s care model.

The role emphasizes coordination of care, staff supervision and achievement of program goals, with a focus on safety, quality metrics, and EMR documentation. RN licensure and CHPN or within-1-year certification are required, with a preferred Master’s in nursing.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: CHPN or obtained within 1 year of hire; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the inpatient Palliative Care Program in coordination with the Medical Director.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, patient-centered care and safety.
• Establish program goals and outcome metrics aligned with Mercy’s strategy.
