Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking an Assembler I in Alabama. The role involves fabricating component parts or assembling finished products according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up work areas, assembling parts, using hand tools, and maintaining safe, clean, and organized workstations. The position requires basic math skills and a willingness to work from 5:00pm to 3:00am, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
