Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure and maintain correct parts and supplies needed for operations, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, inspecting equipment, and following safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and contributing to a productive, well-organized shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required; however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products per established procedures and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
