Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure and prepare required parts and supplies for the operation, ensuring accuracy and quality.

The role emphasizes work area organization, adherence to safety standards, routine equipment checks, and maintaining production records. No previous experience required, though 6 months in manufacturing is preferred; must be 18+.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Up to 6 months of manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product as required.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean and organized, and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
