Job summary

Parallel seeks a hands-on Overnight Packaging Supervisor for our Gainesville facility. You will oversee nightly packaging operations, lead a production team, and ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.

This role supports Surterra Wellness operations in Florida and offers a path to growth within a leading cannabis company. You will manage schedules, monitor output, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining strict SOP adherence and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid government-issued photo identification.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or production environments.
• Experience working with manual, semi-automatic, and automated packaging equipment.
• Understanding of process manufacturing and production scaling principles.
• Experience with quality control systems, SOP compliance, and production documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities with proven experience managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate overnight packaging activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and operational goals.
• Lead teams operating manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated packaging equipment.
• Monitor daily production output and ensure achievement of established productivity and quality targets.
• Oversee assembly and packaging processes for a variety of cannabis products in accordance with company SOPs and state regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety by enforcing workplace safety procedures and proactively addressing safety concerns.
• Manage daily inventory of cannabis and non-cannabis materials, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and partner with Facilities and Operations teams to resolve concerns efficiently.
• Assist with workforce scheduling, workload planning, and inventory forecasting to support uninterrupted production.
• Evaluate process improvements, equipment enhancements, and operational efficiencies in partnership with site leadership.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and compliance documentation.
• Train, coach, and develop team members while supporting cross-training initiatives across packaging and production functions.
• Conduct quality audits and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control standards.
